  4. About the scheme
  5. ----------------
  6. The Supported Shareware scheme was set up by Joe Connor to encourage 
  7. authors of German/French etc software to produce and support English 
  8. language versions of their software AND to encourage UK users to register 
  9. their software.

  11. Benefits for registered users:
  12. - Key to access registered user only features or remove the Shareware 
  13.   Intro screen (some software only)
  14. - Access to the free update service
  15. - Labelled Master disk
  16. - ST-Guide illustrated on-line catalogue of supported software
  17. - ST-Guide on-line help (some software only)
  18. - Selection of other software (dependent on disk space)
  19.  
  20. The Shareware fees are set to cover the currency handling, stationary, 
  21. media and postage costs incurred in mailing out master disks. Support for 
  22. users in other countries is available, details on request, please feel free 
  23. to ask or get involved with translation or support in other countries if 
  24. you are able.

  54. How to register inside the UK
  55. -----------------------------
  56. 1)  Check the amount for the software you wish to register
  57. 2)  Make a cheque payable to Joe Connor for the required amount
  58. 3)  Be sure to include your name and address in a legible format!
  59. 4)  Send cheque to UK Address below

  67. Add £1 to your order total to cover postage and be sure to make your 
  68. cheque payable in Sterling, Eurocheques and International Post Office Giro 
  69. cheques are fine BUT I can't do anything with cheques made out in 
  70. currencies other than Sterling!

  72. Where can I get updates from?

  74. The latest versions are listed every month in the Shareware column of ST 
  75. Applications. To receive an update send a self addressed envelope 
  76. including return postage and an unlabelled unformatted double sided floppy 
  77. disk. Please state clearly:

  79. 1) The software you'd like updated
  80. 2) The version you're currently using

  98. Other sites are allowed to carry the on-line archives but because minor 
  99. updates to the English language version are sometimes made without 
  100. changing the version number hensa is the place to go!
